Grant News: meet our first grantees
We are very excited to announce the first grants of the Turquoise Coast Environment Fund (TCEF), which were awarded to the following grassroots projects protecting and restoring our coastal and marine resources in Turkey:
Ecological restoration support to wildlife after mega fires on the Mediterranean coast – NATURA- Nature and Culture Conservation Association
Improving Environmental Awareness with Resisting Gökçeada Salt Lake Wetland – Water Ecosystems Conservation Association
Climate Resistant and Sustainable Bee Ranges Pilot Application Project – Climate Research Association
Act4Species! – Social Climate Association
A View of Marine Landscape from the Sea – Marine Life Conservation Association
Our first five projects received TCEF funding to address the climate change and marine and coastal conservation emergencies in Turkey’s Mediterranean and Aegean regions.
In cooperation with our local re-granting partner, Civil Society Support Foundation, we met each other to introduce our projects and share our common goals and perspectives for positive change in our coastal areas. We would like to thank all NGOs participating in the meeting and wish a productive period ahead of us.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us, both financially, and by sharing their time and expertise to help us to identify the projects that will bring about the greatest improvements for our beautiful marine and coastal resources.
Please read more information on our grants page and stay tuned!
We would welcome any support that enables us to fund more transformative projects. If you’d like to give back to marine conservation in Turkey, you can make a donation here or get in touch to support us in other ways.
